In anticipation of an IPL match at Eden Gardens, a traffic advisory has been issued for March 23rd. The notification outlines temporary restrictions on the movement of goods vehicles in the vicinity of the stadium, aiming to streamline traffic flow and ensure crowd safety during the event.
Authorities have announced temporary restrictions on the movement of goods vehicles around Eden Gardens and Victoria Memorial Hall from 4 pm on March 23rd till 1 am the following day. Key areas affected include DL Khan Road, Cathedral Road, Hospital Road, Queensway, Casuarina Avenue, AJC Bose Road, Khudiram Bose Road, North Brook Avenue, and Gostha Pal Sarani. To ease congestion, traffic police may redirect vehicles towards Esplanade Row West for access to the High Court area when necessary. Additionally, buses and minibuses from South, North, and East Kolkata will be diverted to the BBD Bagh area. Parking will not be available for taxis and private buses near Eden Gardens.
